NOISE CANCELLATION PADA GELOMBANG BUNYI SEBAGAI UPAYA PEREDAMAN NOISE TANPA BAHAN PEREDAM

Abstract

There were many efforts to reduce the noise with using the damping method. Conventional method of noise reduction, carried passively by placing the sound dampening materials around the noise source or a room that will be muted. This noise control was only effective at high frequencies. If the low frequency was applied on this system, the required sound dampening materials will be heavier and thicker. This condition could result in the increased cost and even making the system was difficult on implementation. The purpose of this research was to seek the noise cancellation at the sound wave for the noise reduction thus no need the sound dampening materials. This method was to bring together two different wave phase but have the same frequency and amplitude with opposite direction, so it will produce a combinated amplitude. If both of these wave have the phase difference of 180Ëš, then the combinated amplitude will nullify each other resulting in the noise cancellation of 100% . Based on the result of conducted research, the maximum of noise cancellation which was obtained from the system was 65% with the frequency of 600.91 Hz and the capacitance value of 2,2 µF
