Edukasi Pelestarian Situs Ngimbang Melalui Eksplorasi Terbimbing Siswa SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Ngimbang

Situs Ngimbang, yang meliputi Prasasti Watugurit dan kolam alami Sendanggede, rentan mengalami kerusakan akibat faktor alam dan aktivitas manusia. Hingga kini belum ada upaya edukatif yang secara langsung ditujukan untuk meningkatkan kepedulian masyarakat, terutama generasi muda, terhadap pelestarian situs ini. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan edukasi kepada pemuda lokal melalui metode eksplorasi terbimbing. Program dilaksanakan pada November 2024 di SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Ngimbang dan Situs Ngimbang. Sebanyak 15 siswa mengikuti rangkaian kegiatan yang terdiri dari pembelajaran klasikal, diskusi, dan observasi lapangan yang difasilitasi oleh akademisi dan ahli sejarah. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman siswa terhadap aspek historis dan ekologis situs, termasuk identifikasi kualitas air dan keberadaan organisme perairan. Temuan adanya spesies invasif seperti ikan louhan dan tungau darat di perairan menegaskan pentingnya pelestarian berkelanjutan.
