EVALUASI KINERJA REAKTOR PIROLISIS NON KATALIS DALAM MENGKONVERSIKAN LIMBAH PLASTIK MENJADI BAHAN BAKAR MINYAK

Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang dan mengevaluasi kinerja dari reaktor pirolisis dimana pengoperasian reaktor ini menggunakan proses pirolisis yang tidak menggunakan katalis untuk mengkonversikan limbah plastik menjadi bahan bakar minyak. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan plastik limbah kantong kresek (LDPE) dan cangkir plastik bekas minuman (PP). Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini bagaimana menentukan kinerjanya dalam hal Efisiensi Konversi (%wt), Efisiensi Pengurangan Limbah (%wt) dan Recovery minyak (ml minyak/kg limbah plastik). Umpan limbah plastik kantong kresek (LDPE) dan cangkir plastik bekas minuman (PP) , dan Kombinasi (LDPE +PP) terlebih dahulu di bersihkan dan ukuran di perkecil sekitar 2 cm , 500 gram limbah plastik di umpankan ke reaktor. Masing-masing di lakukan running sebanyak lima kali operasi, dengan lama waktu operasi 140 menit . Hasil yang didapat adalah Efisiensi Konversi Kantong Kresek (LDPE) 44.56 %wt,Cangkir Plastik Minuman (PP) 47.49%wt, Kantong kresek (LDPE)+ Cangkir Plastik minuman (PP) 55.05%wt, Efisiensi Pengurangan Limbah(%wt) Kantong Kresek (LDPE) 92.46 %wt,Cangkir Plastik Minuman (PP) 93.28%wt, Kantong kresek (LDPE)+ Cangkir Plastik minuman (PP) 93.81%w,t Recovery minyak (ml/kg) Kantong Kresek (LDPE) 647.80 ml/kg ,Cangkir Plastik Minuman (PP) 599.6 ml/kg, Kantong kresek (LDPE)+ Cangkir Plastik minuman (PP) 732.4 ml/kg. Dari hasil kinerja reaktor pirolisis yang didapat merupakan penanganan yang potensial dalam menghasilkan alternatif minyak dari plastik.Kata Kunci: Evaluasi Kinerja, plastik , reaktor pirolisis
