Rancang Ulang Sistem Produksi dengan Pendekatan Just In Time Untuk Meningkatkan Efisiensi di Lantai Produk

Salah satu indikator permasalahan persediaan yaitu tingginya work in process di seksi perakitan yang merupakan cerminan akumulasi masalah yang terjadi pada sistem produksi secara keseluruhan. PT. Surya Toto Indonesia selalu berupaya untuk melakukan perbaikan disegala aspek, salah satunya yaitu menekan work in process di seksi perakitan yang cukup tingi, yang kiranya mengharuskan adanya pembenahan pada sistem produksi.Untuk mengurangi work in process digunakan metode Just In Time. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan uji coba penerapan Just In Time pada proses produksi. Didapatkan bahwa terdapat salah satu part sebagai penyebab terjadinya WIP seksi perakitan yang dipengaruhi oleh adanya abnormal proses produksi. Hasil uji coba menunjukan adanya perbedaan waktu lebih cepat hingga 0.24% antara non Just In Time dengan Just In Time.Dengan mengacu pada hasil penelitian tersebut perlu dilakukan rancang ulang sistem produksi untuk mendapatkan efisiensi yang diharapkan dengan menerapkan prinsip-prinsip yaitu focus factory, multi skilled empoyees, uniform plant loading, total productive maintenance, quality control, quality circle, reduce set-up time, group technology, kanban system dan JIT purchasing
