Implementasi Metode Shortcut dalam Penyelesaian Mengadapi Soal UTBK untuk Meningkatkan Prestasi Siswa SMA

Abstract

This Community Service (PKM) activity aims to enhance Senior High School (SMA) students' ability to solve Computer-Based Written Test (UTBK) problems quickly, accurately, and efficiently through the implementation of shortcut methods. The main issues faced by the partners are low solving speed due to reliance on conventional methods, difficulty in identifying problem patterns, and a lack of time management and time-based practice. The implementation method utilized a structured training and interactive workshop approach, consisting of a preparation phase (need assessment and module development), an implementation phase (pre-test, shortcut material presentation, HOTS problem simulation), and an evaluation phase (post-test and reflection). The results of the activity indicate that the shortcut method training successfully improved problem-solving time efficiency, answer accuracy, and student confidence in facing the UTBK. This approach proved effective in helping students develop flexible and adaptive mathematical thinking without neglecting basic conceptual understanding.
