Abstract

ABSTRACT:The drug problem in Indonesia is still something that is urgent and complex. In the last decade this problem has become widespread. Evidenced by the significant increase in the number of drug abusers or addicts, along with the increasing disclosure of drug crime cases, the pattern of which is increasingly diverse and the syndicate network is getting more massive. The Indonesian people in general are currently facing a very worrying situation due to the widespread illegal use of various types of drugs. Inappropriate drug use can threaten aperson'shealth. Narcotics are substances or drugs derived from plants or non- plants, bothsynthetic and semi-synthetic, which can cause a decrease or change in consciousness, loss of feeling, reduce to eliminate pain and can cause dependence which are differentiated into groups listed in Article 1 of the Law. Invite No. 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics. Which Law No. 35 of 2009 also regulates the prevention, protection and rescue of the Indonesian people from narcotics abuse, eradicates the illicit traffic of narcotics and narcotics precursors, and guarantees arrangements for medical and social rehabilitation efforts for narcotics abusers and addicts. Based on the ministerial regulation, regional governments at the sub-district level must carry out six tasks, but the sub-district only carries out two tasksin drug prevention efforts, namely outreach and seminars. The resulting impact results in losses for oneself and others such as the behavior that is caused, namely stealing parents' money, skipping school, and physically looking untidy, selling goods at home and many more. The problem of drug abuse among adolescents andstudents can be said to be difficult to overcome, because the solution involves many factors and cooperation from all parties concerned, such as the government, apparatus, community, mass media, families, and the youth themselves. Drug abuseoccurs because the victim lacks or does not understand what drugs are so that irresponsible parties (dealers) can deceive them.
