Abstract

Narcotics abuse is a phenomenon that occurs due to several factors that happen to intertwine in one factor, giving rise to such a result. Narcotics addicts and victims of narcotics abuse must undergo medical and social rehabilitation. Rehabilitation for addicts is a form of social protection that interacts with narcotics addicts into the social system so that they no longer use narcotics, medical and social rehabilitation can be carried out. The purpose of this study is to find out how legal protection and rehabilitation are for child victims who become drug abusers. In this study we conducted a series of studies, using normative research. And by collecting data both secondary (online and manually), primary (with secondary, primary and tertiary legal materials) and also processing existing data and analyzing data to be drawn as research conclusions. The results of the study reveal that there is legal protection in Law Number 35 of 2014 Article 67 concerning Child Victims of Narcotics Abuse and Children who are involved in the production of its circulation, and there is an obligation to undergo medical and social rehabilitation as stipulated in Law Number 35 of 2009 Article 54.
