Abstract

The 1945 Constitution and the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child state that every child has the right to survival, growth and development, participation and is entitled to protection from acts of violence and discrimination as well as civil rights and freedoms. Parents, families, communities and the government are responsible for maintaining and maintaining these human rights in accordance with the obligations imposed by law. Children's rights are also regulated in Article 2 of Law no. 4 of 1979 concerning Child Welfare and in Article 4 -18 of Law Number 23 of 2002 However, in fact many of these children's rights are violated and even these rights are not fulfilled as they should. Many cases violate children's rights, one of which is the crime of commercial sex exploitation. This study aims to find out how the legal protection of child victims of commercial sex exploitation crimes and sanctions for perpetrators of commercial sex exploitation crimes. The research method used in this study is a normative juridical law research method by examining literature or secondary materials and primary legal materials, namely laws and regulations.
