Abstract

This research discusses one of the narcotics crimes involving members of the police. Basically a member of the police is tasked with providing protection, security and protection for the community. However, in practice these police officers are involved in narcotics abuse. Even though we know that Narcotics are substances that are dangerous to life and can take the life of the user. Therefore, the consequences of using narcotics are not only bad for the users themselves but also directly or indirectly will affect the family environment, society and the country. So that Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics is applied which explains the Narcotics. The purpose of this research is to find out the legal arrangements for narcotics crimes involving members of the police. To find out the causes of the involvement of members of the police in the abuse o f criminal acts of Narcotics, the policy of the Head of the National Police of the Republic of Indonesia in handling cases of criminal acts of Narcotics committed by members of the police, and criminal accountability for members of the police who are involved in the abuse of criminal acts of Narcotics. This research is a normative juridical legal research by considering legal principles and reviewed in Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics. Based on the results of the research, the legal arrangements regarding Narcotics abuse are regulated in Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics, because members of the police are also subject to general justice according to Article 29 paragraph (1) of Law Number 2 of 2002 concerning the Police, thus the Law The law also applies to members of the police who are involved in narcotics crimes. The outputs targeted in this study are mandatory outputs in the form of national journals and additional outputs in the form of proceeding journals.
