Edukasi Penguatan Peran Saksi dalam Melindungi Korban Bullying di SMPN 5 Kota Tangerang Selatan
Abstract
Bullying in schools has a negative impact on students’ psychological, social, and academic well-being, a situation exacerbated by low awareness and the limited role of bystanders. The objective of this Community Service (PKM) activity is to enhance students’ understanding of bullying, encourage them to speak up, and reinforce humanistic values through character education at SMPN 5 in South Tangerang City. The methodology employed was an active learning approach through interactive lectures, discussions, Q&A sessions, and the internalization of values, with evaluation based on assessments and participation observations. The results of the PKM showed a significant increase in students’ understanding, with the majority achieving scores of 65–70. Qualitatively, a positive paradigm shift occurred, with 88% of students ready to actively act as potential witnesses for intervention or reporting. This success was driven by the reinforcement of moral values and relevant examples that fostered students’ empathy.
