Abstract

A family business is one that faces the complexity of managing working relationships that are both professional and emotional in nature, which often results in a low quality of work life (QWL) for business managers. The learning organisation approach is regarded as a relevant strategy for enhancing adaptive capacity, continuous learning, and well-being at work. This Community Service Activity (PKM) aims to implement the principles of the learning organisation to improve the QWL of family business managers. The method used in this PKM was a three-day face-to-face workshop held at the service location. The results of the activity showed an increase in participants’ understanding and ability to apply organisational learning, which led to improvements in aspects of QWL, particularly in the psychological, social, and work environment dimensions. Furthermore, positive changes were observed in communication patterns, conflict management, and an increase in work engagement. The conclusions indicate that the implementation of a learning organisation contributes significantly to improving the QWL of family business managers and serves as a strategic approach to supporting business sustainability
