Jago Pidato dengan Teknik Chuncking dan Pausing

Abstract

Salah satu indikator penilaian dalam berpidato adalah kemampuan untuk memunculkan jeda dan penekanan pada kata yang dianggap memiliki makna lebih untuk disampaikan kepada pendengar. Kemampuan ini dapat meningkatkan tingkat pemahaman sekaligus atensi pendengar. Pengabdian masyarakat ini mengusung pelatihan penggunaan chuncking dan pausing dalam berpidato dengan melibatkan 40 santri Madrasah Aliyah Pondok Pesantren Nurul Qur’an, Ciseeng, Bogor. Rangkaian kegiatan menunjukkan hasil yang sesuai dengan target. Berdasarkan observasi kegiatan santri serta wawancara terhadap observer, disimpulkan bahwa pengabdian masyarakat dalam bentuk pelatihan selama tiga hari tersebut mampu meningkatkan wawasan dan kemampuan santri dalam chuncking dan pausing ketika berpidato. Kemampuan ini meningkatkan pemahaman dan atensi pendengar sehingga kemampuan berpidato para santri meningkat..
