Abstract

Fentacom.id is a shop that is engaged in servicing laptops, notebooks and also macbooks, this business was founded in 2010. In the operational system carried out by the Fentacom.id store, namely the process of laptop information being repaired still using the conventional system, i.e. the customer comes directly to check the store to find out the process of repairing the device that is being repaired by fentacom.id or asking for the status of the device repair via telephone or SMS (Short Message Service). Based on the problems that have been described previously, the authors provide an alternative by building a service monitoring information system, so that it can provide information to customers about the status of device repairs. The method used in this research is the WDLC (Web Development Life Cycle) method, while the programming language is PHP (Hyper Text Processor) and MySQL as the DBMS (Database Management System). The WDLC method can facilitate the process of completing the application development process because there are already stages in the method used. This web-based information system can provide information about the status of device repairs being repaired by the fentacom.id store. Information regarding the status of device repairs can be accessed by customers through the fentacom.id store website in order to improve service so that customers are satisfied.
