Abstract

Currently in the field of construction of the arisitek using manual calculations as well as the use of Microsoft Excel to calculate the amount of material in constructing residential buildings or other buildings. By calculation application made building is expected to help the architect to perform calculations and material and did not rule out also the consumers (users) can take into account the amount of material that will be required in building construction as well as the calculation of the funds that will be needed in the development process of a project to determine the amount of material needs required. The research methodology used in designing this application is to identify the existing problems and analyzing system requirements, designing the database, storing the data and process the data using the Waterfall method. And these applications made with Visual Basic 2008 programming language and the database used is Microsoft Office Access 2007. Input is taken according to the size of the house consists of a bedroom, living room, bathroom, family room, and kitchen. The output volume of the room knowing that we have input so that we can determine the amount of material to be used.
