Abstract

Scheduling courses become an important part of teaching and learning in a university. Informatics Engineering Program at Pamulang University has a considerable number of classes, lecturers, lectures, and lecture time. So the process of making the lecture schedule is a complex process, and takes a long time. Timetabling which resulted is often not as expected, because there are still clashing. To help solve the problem, it is proposed the development of lecture scheduling application by applying hill climbing algorithm as the search process, because it is considered to have good search results. Application of hill climbing algorithm in this application is used to collect all possible solutions. From the research conducted, it can be concluded that hill climbing algorithm can get optimal course scheduling solution and make it easier for Pamulang University staff to make schedule every semester.
