Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji persamaan dan perbedaan novel cahaya cinta pesantren karya Ira Madan dan novel pesantren impian karya Asma Nadia. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan sastra bandingan, yaitu dengan membandingkan unsur instrinstik berupa tema, latar, alur, penokohan, gaya bahasa dan aspek social . Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dan disajikan secara deskriptif. Hasil
dari penelitian ini adalah novel cahaya cinta pesantren karya Ira Madan dan novel pesantren impian karya Asma Nadia memiliki persamaan alur, penokohan, dan latar. Hasil penelitian ini juga memiliki perbedaan tema dan sudut pandang yang merupakan gambaran kehidupan cerita tersebut.
