Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk medeskripsikan (1) pemaknaan denotasi, konotasi, dan mitos pada tembang campursasri; (2) pemaknaan bentuk simbolik pada tembang campursari. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan semiotik Roland Barthes. Adapun tembang yang dijadikan objek kajian yaitu “Gugur Gunungâ€. Berdasarkan analisis data, diperoleh simpulan bahwa (1) Pada pemaknaan denotasi, konotasi, dan mitos pada tembang “Gugur Gunung†memiliki makna tentang masyarakat yang masih perlu dihimbau akan pentingnya gotong royong; (2) Makna simbolik yang terdapat pada tembang “Gugur Gunung†yaitu gotong royong dan kerukunan.

Kata kunci : Tembang Campursari, Gotong Royong, Denotasi, Konotasi, Mitos, dan Makna Simbolik
