Abstrak Ekranisasi berasal dari bahasa perancis, ecran yang berarti layar. Jadi istilah itu mengacu pada alih wahana dari suatu karya sastra ke film. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan proses ekranisasi pada novel The Perfect Husband karya Indah Riyana dan film The Perfect Husband sutradara Rudi Aryanto. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif yang berpedoman pada pendapat Moleong. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori Sapardi Djoko Damono. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat di simpulkan bahwa proses ekranisasi yang terjadi dari novel ke film The Perfect Husband yaitu: 1) Penciutan atau pengurangan alur cerita dari novel ke film The Perfect Husband sehingga munculnya perbedaan alur cerita baik dari segi latar dan tokoh dalam cerita. 2) Penambahan dari novel ke film The Perfect Husband. 3) Perubahan Variasi pada Alur, latar, dan tokoh dari novel ke film The Perfect Husband.
