KULTUR SWAG DALAM VLOG YOUNGLEX FEAT AWKARIN: KAJIAN SOSIOLINGUISTIS

Abstrak
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kultur swag yang ditampilkan melalui penandaan verbal dan non-verbal dalam video Vlog (video blog) Younglex feat Awkarin di YouTube dan untuk menelaah pengaruhnya terhadap sikap bahasa. Data penelitian ini berupa tanda verbal yaitu lirik video dan tanda non-verbal yaitu berupa atribut yang digunakan oleh Younglex dan Awkarin pada video tersebut. Teori yang digunakan yaitu menggunakan teori Dell Hymes (1972) tentang unsur SPEAKING (Settings, Participants, Ends, Acts, Keys, Instruments, Norms, Genres). Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa kultur swag yang ditampilkan melalui tanda verbal dan nonverbal memiliki kecenderungan negatif terhadap sikap bahasa standardization (kebakuan), historicity (kesejarahan) dan vitality (keterpakaian). Namun berlaku sebaliknya, yaitu kecenderungan positif dalam sikap bahasa autonomy terkait keunikan, keleluasaannya.
