Abstract

Majelis Ta’lim Nurul Qolbi berperan sebagai pusat kegiatan keagamaan sekaligus wadah pemberdayaan ekonomi melalui usaha boga. Proses pengukusan yang masih dilakukan secara konvensional menuntut pengawasan terus-menerus, menimbulkan risiko air habis, ketidakstabilan suhu, dan ketidakkonsistenan kematangan produk. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan kemampuan mitra dalam mengoperasikan steamer otomatis berbasis Internet of Things (IoT) serta mendorong efisiensi produksi kuliner. Metode kegiatan menggabungkan pendekatan Asset-Based Community Development dan action research melalui tahap analisis kebutuhan, instalasi dan uji coba sistem, pelatihan interaktif, praktik langsung, evaluasi, serta pendampingan. Sistem menggunakan mikrokontroler berkoneksi Wi-Fi, sensor suhu dan level air, relai pemanas, serta antarmuka smartphone untuk pemantauan dan pengendalian jarak jauh. Hasil evaluasi yang dilaporkan menunjukkan peningkatan proporsi peserta yang memahami otomatisasi berbasis internet dari sekitar 20% pada pra-pelatihan menjadi 85% pada pasca-pelatihan. Simulasi pengukusan berhasil dilakukan, termasuk pemantauan suhu, pemutusan pemanas, dan proteksi ketika air berada di bawah batas aman. Program ini memperkuat literasi digital mitra, meningkatkan efisiensi waktu, mendukung konsistensi mutu produk, dan mengurangi risiko kelalaian operasional.

ABSTRACT

Majelis Ta’lim Nurul Qolbi serves as a center for religious activities and a community economic empowerment platform through food-processing enterprises. Conventional steaming requires continuous supervision and creates risks of depleted water, unstable temperature, and inconsistent product doneness. This community service program aimed to improve partners’ ability to operate an Internet of Things (IoT)-based automatic steamer and to enhance the efficiency of small-scale food production. The activity combined an Asset-Based Community Development approach with action research through needs analysis, system installation and testing, interactive training, hands-on practice, evaluation, and mentoring. The system employs a Wi-Fi-enabled microcontroller, temperature and water-level sensors, a heater relay, and a smartphone interface for remote monitoring and control. Reported evaluation results showed an increase in participants who understood internet-based automation from approximately 20% before the training to 85% after the training. Steaming simulations were successfully completed, including temperature monitoring, remote heater shutdown, and automatic protection when the water level fell below the safe threshold. The program strengthened digital literacy, improved time efficiency, supported consistent product quality, and reduced operational risks.
