Persuasive and Motivational Speech Training for Pesantren Students

Abstrak
Kemampuan berpidato dalam Bahasa Inggris merupakan ketrampilan yang harus dimiliki oleh setiap santri dalam pondok pesantren ini walaupun tidak semua santri mampu melakukannya. Para tenaga pengajar tentunya memberikan metode pembelajaran yang tidak monoton, berbasis merdeka yang tentunya menyenangkan untuk meningkatkan kualitas belajar bagi para santri Pondok Pesantren Modern Al-Ghozali. Oleh sebab itu, Pengabdian Masyarakat kali ini mengusung tema ‘Persuasive and Motivational Speech Training for Pesantren Students’. Pelatihan ini sangat penting dilakukan agar para santri mampu menyampaikan aspirasinya dan juga untuk menghadirkan semangat keagamaan kepada masyarakat luas. Hasil dari PkM ini menunjukkan bahwa para santri sangat termotivasi dalam berlatih berbicara didepan umum dan mampu mempraktikan kemampuan mengajak dan memotivasi penonton melalui presentasi yang mereka lakukan.

Abstract
The ability to give a speech in English is a skill that every student in this Islamic boarding school must have, although not all students are able to do it. The teaching staff certainly provide non-monotonous, independent-based learning methods which are certainly fun to improve the quality of learning for the students of the Al-Ghozali Modern Islamic Boarding School. Therefore, this time the Community Service carries the theme 'Persuasive and Motivational Speech Training for Islamic Boarding School Students'. This training is very important so that the students are able to express their aspirations and also to present religious enthusiasm to the wider community. The results of this PkM show that the students are very motivated in practicing public speaking and are able to practice their ability to invite and motivate the audience through the presentations they make.
