Peningkatan Motivasi Pembelajaran & Penguasaan Bahasa Indonesia dan Bahasa Asing untuk Bersaing di Dunia Kerja
Abstract
In learning at the SMA/SMK level, students are expected to be able to develop Indonesian and foreign language skills well. Therefore, the Indonesian Literature Study Program at Pamulang University held a Virtual PKM with the theme "Prioritize Indonesian, Master Foreign Languages, Preserve Regional Languages: Series #1 Motivation for Learning & Mastering Indonesian & Foreign Languages to Compete in the World of Work" on Saturday, April 2 2022. The method used is a kind of training to increase motivation to learn Indonesian and foreign languages by first explaining the importance and benefits of learning languages. This Virtual PKM process uses more motivation, inquiry, and lecture techniques. The purpose of this Virtual PKM is to increase the motivation of virtual PKM participants about learning & mastering Indonesian and foreign languages to compete in the world of work. The participants benefited a lot from this Virtual PKM activity so that the motivation of the presenters about learning Indonesian and foreign languages such as Japanese was increased. This is evidenced by the results of the Virtual PKM evaluation which was carried out after the activity was completed. The evaluation questionnaire contained 10 statements and was filled out by 40 students of SMKS Nusantara II Health Ciputat (100%). The results are 1) “interesting motivational materials for learning Indonesian and foreign languages†(4.96), 2) “There is an increase in knowledge and motivation about the importance of learning and mastering Indonesian and foreign languages†(4.89), and 3) “Get a positive impact in learning Indonesian and foreign languages†(4.75).
