Abstract

Kesiapan siswa Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) dalam memasuki dunia kerja tidak hanya ditentukan oleh kompetensi teknis, tetapi juga oleh kemampuan soft skills dan etika profesional. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesiapan kerja siswa SMK YPWKS Kota Cilegon melalui penguatan kompetensi soft skills dan etika profesional. Metode pelaksanaan menggunakan pendekatan partisipatif melalui pelatihan, diskusi, studi kasus, dan simulasi role play. Evaluasi kegiatan dilakukan melalui pre-test dan post-test untuk mengukur perubahan pemahaman peserta sebelum dan setelah pelatihan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan rata-rata pemahaman peserta dari 69,0 pada pre-test menjadi 85,4 pada post-test, dengan peningkatan sebesar 23,77%. Peningkatan terutama terlihat pada aspek etika profesional, komunikasi profesional, kesiapan kerja, kerja sama tim, serta disiplin dan tanggung jawab. Kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan yang mengintegrasikan soft skills dan etika profesional melalui metode partisipatif dapat menjadi pendekatan yang relevan dalam meningkatkan kesiapan siswa SMK menghadapi dunia kerja. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat mendukung pengembangan kualitas sumber daya manusia siswa agar lebih adaptif, kompeten, dan mampu menunjukkan perilaku profesional di lingkungan kerja.
