Implementasi Sistem Pakar Diagnosa Troubleshooting Komputer dan Software Menggunakan Metode Forward Chaining Berbasis Web pada Pondok Pesantren Al-Gontory

The computer laboratory at Pondok Pesantren Al-Gontory still performs computer hardware and software troubleshooting manually, resulting in longer diagnostic times and a high dependence on technical experts. This study aims to develop a web-based expert system to assist in diagnosing computer hardware and software failures using the Forward Chaining method. The research methodology includes observation, interviews, literature review, requirements analysis, system design using Unified Modeling Language (UML), implementation using PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and system testing through Black Box Testing and White Box Testing. The Forward Chaining method is applied as the inference engine to match user-selected symptoms with the knowledge base and rule base, producing diagnostic results along with appropriate troubleshooting solutions. The developed system provides features for managing symptoms, failures, rules, troubleshooting diagnosis, diagnostic chatbot, diagnostic history, and report export. The testing results indicate that all system functions operate according to the specified functional requirements and that the program logic executes correctly. Based on the implementation and testing results, the developed expert system is capable of accelerating the troubleshooting process while reducing dependence on technical experts in diagnosing computer hardware and software failures at the Computer Laboratory of Pondok Pesantren Al-Gontory.
