Sistem Pakar Diagnosa Penyakit Ispa Menggunakan Metode Certainty Factor

Respiratory disorders are one of the health problems that can have serious consequences if not properly detected and treated. One of the most common respiratory diseases is Acute Respiratory Infection (ARI). According to data from WHO, ARI is classified as a disease with a high incidence rate and can be fatal if not treated appropriately. Therefore, a system that can assist in the early detection and diagnosis of ARI is needed, one of which is an expert system. An expert system is an artificial intelligence-based system capable of mimicking an expert’s reasoning process in analyzing a disease. One of the methods used in expert systems is the Certainty Factor method. This method has the advantage of handling uncertainty, particularly in diagnosing diseases based on given symptoms. This study discusses the application of the Certainty Factor method in an expert system for diagnosing ARI to support a more accurate and efficient diagnostic process
