Abstract

The communication style of Serang City Mayor, Syafrudin, significantly influences the effectiveness of the city government. By adopting an inclusive and transparent communication approach, Syafrudin fosters trust between the government and the community, enhancing public service delivery and the success of development programs. This study examines the impact of his communication strategies, emphasizing openness, community participation, and technological integration. The research employs a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis based on primary and secondary data collected through document reviews, observations, and interviews with key stakeholders. The findings reveal that Syafrudin's communication style has successfully strengthened the relationship between the government and the citizens of Serang City. Key achievements include the city's consistent "Unqualified Opinion" (WTP) awards for financial accountability and recognition as an innovative city by the Ministry of Home Affairs. Furthermore, the integration of digital platforms ensures swift and effective communication, while active public consultation forums enable participatory decision-making. These results underscore the vital role of effective communication in achieving responsive governance and fostering public trust. This research highlights the importance of adopting inclusive communication practices to optimize governance outcomes, making it a valuable reference for leaders aiming to enhance their administrative effectiveness.
