Abstract

This study aims to determine the extent of women's representation in the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI). Using a qualitative approach with a case study method and descriptive analysis. According to datafrom the Indonesia House of Representatives (DPR RI) the percentage of women’s representation in DPR in 2023 shows that women’s representation in parliamentary seats has not yet reached the minimun threshold of 30%. This due to various obstacles faced by women. Increasing women's representation in the legislature can lead to more gender-sensitive policies and strengthen democracy by introducing a more diverse perspective in public decision-making. Therefore, efforts to improve women's representation in the DPR RI need to be optimized through policy reform, political education, and raising public awareness of the importance of women's participation in politics.
