Efforts to Improve Mathematical Skills through the Singing Method among Fourth-Grade Students

This study aims to enhance the mathematical abilities of fourth-grade students through the use of a singing method specifically regarding the understanding and memorization of basic mathematical concepts and to demonstrate that this method can improve conceptual comprehension, retention, and application, as well as student learning outcomes. A qualitative research method employing a case study approach was used. The subjects of the study were 14 fourth-grade students at SDN 74/III Dusun Baru Pulau Tengah. Data collection techniques included interviews, direct observation, and an analysis of the mathematical song materials utilized. The study is expected to provide evidence that the singing method is effective in improving the mathematical abilities of fourth-grade students. Furthermore, the findings are intended to serve as a basis for developing more innovative and enjoyable mathematics instruction.
