The purpose of this thesis is to examine the application of iḥtiyÄá¹ and maá¹£laḥaḥ concept on the products of Baitul Maal Wat Tamwil (BMT) Al-Fattah in Semarang Regency and provide a broader perspective on the concepts of iḥtiyÄá¹ and maá¹£laḥaḥ within the scope of sharia economic law.This study is a field research with qualitative analysis methodology in a form of case study. The approach implemented in this work is the juridical normative, with data collected from interview with the management party of BMT Al-Fataah Semarang Regency that serve as the primary data sources. The secondary data is taken from the documentation and other literature which supports the theory employed in this study. The results of the research conducted by the writer denotes that some products of Baitul Maal Wat Tamwil (BMT) Al-Fattah in Semarang Regency implement the concept of iḥtiyÄá¹ by not ignoring the maá¹£laḥaḥ; for instances the financial resources for qará¸u ḥasan product, qará¸u ḥasan product policy for productive activities that do not violate the terms of sharia economic, the availability of assistance program, and courthouse renewal for members of customers default.
