Exploring the ethical dilemmas in the use of digital communication technology by young generations
from an Islamic perspective is a highly relevant topic in the modern era. Digital natives have broad
access to various digital platforms, influencing their communication and interaction patterns. While
technology offers benefits such as easier communication and increased knowledge, its negative
impacts include dependency, lack of real social interaction, and exposure to negative content. The
young generation in Indonesia, in particular, shows a high interest in applications like TikTok due to
its ease of access and interactive features. From an Islamic standpoint, the use of technology should
be guided by ethical principles such as honesty and justice. This research employs qualitative
methods with literature study techniques, gathering data through observation and literature review.
Data analysis is conducted using descriptive methods to provide a clear overview of these ethical
dilemmas. The findings indicate that a strong ethical understanding is needed to ensure that the
young generation is not only proficient in technology but also possesses good moral character in
accordance with Islamic values, maintaining ethical communication in the digital world.
