APLIKASI LOCATION BASED SERVICE UNTUK MELAKUKAN TRACKING BERBASIS ANDROID DENGAN METODE RAPID APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT

Masyarakat saat ini untuk menuju suatu tempat yang belum pernah dikunjungi cukup dengan mengandalkan GPS dan aplikasi aplikasi berbasis GPS. Dari GPS ini pun kita bisa mengetahui letak posisi seseorang, SPBU, rumah makan, tempat wisata, dan lain sebagainya. Dilihat dari kegunaannya GPS sangat bermanfaat dan memudahkan kita dalam melakukan aktifitas tracking. Tracking salah satu nya berfungsi untuk memonitor karyawan disuatu perusahaan yang menyediakan jasa pengiriman (kurir). Studi kasus penelitian ini adalah PT. Richeese Factory cabang Kelapa Dua Depok, dari hasil pengamatan dapat diketahui bahwa sistem pengiriman makanan disana masih bersifat manual dan tidak terstruktur, sehingga tidak bisa dipastikannya kapan kurir selesai mengantar makanan ke tempat tujuan.
Tidak adanya pemantauan / tracking kurir delivery order setelah mereka melakukan pengiriman makanan ke tempat tujuan pun membuat tidak efisien dan tidak maksimal untuk pengiriman pesanan berikutnya, tentunya ini sangat merugikan perusahaan dan pemantauan. Sistem tracking kurir adalah suatu keharusan untuk menilai kualitas kinerja mereka serta meningkatkan kualitas usaha pelayanan bidang delivery order. Solusi permasalahan penelitian ini adalah membuat Aplikasi Location Based Service untuk melakukan tracking menggunakan metode pengembangan sistem Rapid Application Development berbasis Android, dimana tahapan metode pengembangan mulai dari Identifikasi, workshop design, dan Implementasi. Luaran yang diharapkan pada penelitian ini adalah jurnal nasional,

ABSTRACT

Today's society to go to a place that has never been visited enough to rely on GPS and GPS-based applications. From this GPS, we can find out the location of a person's position, gas stations, restaurants, tourist attractions, and so on. Judging from its usefulness, GPS is very useful and makes it easier for us to do tracking activities. Tracking one of them works to monitor employees in a company that provides delivery services (couriers). The case study of this research is PT. Richeese Factory Kelapa Dua Depok branch, from observations it can be seen that the food delivery system there is still manual and unstructured, so it cannot be ascertained when the courier finishes delivering to the destination.
There is no purpose to monitor / track courier orders after they have delivered food to the place, it is not efficient and not optimal for the next order, of course it is very detrimental to the company and monitoring. Courier tracking system is a must to assess the quality of their performance as well as improve the service quality of the order delivery field. The solution to this research problem is to create a Location Based Service Application for tracking using the Android-based Rapid Application Development system development method, where the development stages start from identification, workshop design, and implementation. The expected outputs in this research are national journals.
