ABSTRAK
PENGEMBANGAN SISTEM INFORMASI MONITORING TUGAS AKHIR BERBASIS WEB MENGGUNAKAN METODE RAPID APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT (RAD). Proses monitoring merupakan bagian penting dalam menjamin kelancaran penyelesaian studi. Namun, pada praktiknya proses monitoring masih sering dilakukan secara manual sehingga menyulitkan dosen pembimbing dan program studi dalam memantau progres mahasiswa secara berkala. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sistem informasi monitoring Tugas berbasis web yang dapat membantu pencatatan bimbingan dan pemantauan progres mahasiswa secara terstruktur. Metode pengembangan sistem yang digunakan adalah Rapid Application Development (RAD) yang menekankan pada perancangan sistem, pembuatan prototype, dan iterasi berdasarkan umpan balik pengguna. Tahapan RAD meliputi requirements planning, user design, construction, dan cutover. Sistem dikembangkan berbasis web agar dapat diakses secara fleksibel oleh pengguna.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem informasi monitoring Tugas yang dikembangkan mampu memfasilitasi pencatatan bimbingan, monitoring progres mahasiswa, serta penyajian informasi secara terintegrasi. Pengujian fungsional menggunakan metode black box menunjukkan bahwa seluruh fitur sistem berjalan sesuai dengan kebutuhan yang telah ditetapkan.

DEVELOPMENT OF A WEB-BASED FINAL ASSIGNMENT MONITORING INFORMATION SYSTEM USING THE RAPID APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT (RAD) METHOD. The process of monitoring students’ final projects using the development of a web-based Final Project Monitoring Information System employing the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method is an important aspect in ensuring the smooth completion of academic studies. However, in practice, the monitoring process is still often carried out manually, which makes it difficult for supervisors and study programs to regularly track students’ progress. This research aims to develop a web-based Final Project Monitoring Information System that can assist in recording supervision activities and monitoring student progress in a structured manner.
The system development method used in this study is Rapid Application Development (RAD), which emphasizes system design, prototype development, and iterative improvement based on user feedback. The RAD stages include requirements planning, user design, construction, and cutover. The system is developed as a web-based application to allow flexible access for users.The results of the study indicate that the developed Final Project Monitoring Information System is able to facilitate supervision record management, student progress monitoring, and integrated information presentation. Functional testing using the black box method shows that all system features operate according to the defined requirements.
