Abstract

The election of the Student Council President (OSIS) is a crucial instrument in developing leadership character and instilling democratic values within the educational environment. However, the election process at SMK YPUI Parung was previously conducted conventionally using paper ballots. This manual method faced various significant obstacles, ranging from long queues that disrupted class hours, potential human error in vote counting, to the inefficiency of logistical costs and time. This Community Service (PKM) activity aims to implement a web-based e-voting system as a digital innovation solution to realize a more transparent, accountable, and efficient election process. The implementation method was carried out systematically, covering the stages of initial planning, system development, socialization to potential voters, to direct (offline) system trials held on December 8, 2025, at the SMK YPUI Parung Hall. The system was developed using a combination of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, and PHP technologies with a MariaDB database via XAMPP. This technological integration allows the voter verification and vote-counting process to be carried out automatically and in real-time. Evaluation data were collected through direct observation, activity documentation, and the distribution of questionnaires to participants to measure the level of satisfaction and ease of use of the system interface. The results of activities based on monitoring and evaluation during the implementation and trial phases of the system show that the web-

based e-voting system is able to operate well and stably. The application of this system has been proven to significantly reduce voting time and minimize the risk of administrative errors that commonly occur with conventional methods. In addition, the vote counting process can be carried out automatically and in real-time, thereby increasing efficiency and transparency in the implementation of student council elections. Participant responses to the use of the system also indicate a positive level of acceptance, particularly in terms of ease of use and speed of the process., this activity also had a positive impact on increasing the digital literacy of students and teachers in utilizing information technology for school organizational governance. It is concluded that the application of this digitalization makes the school's democratic process more modern, accurate, and transparent. As a recommendation, this system can be further developed by adding more advanced data encryption security features.
