Abstract

Financial literacy is an understanding of finance, and what is meant by financial literacy is a series of processes to increase the knowledge and skills of consumers and the general public so that they are able to manage their finances better. Financial literacy will not reach the community if there is no effort made by the government or institutions to socialize financial literacy. So it must be assisted with services that can explain financial literacy which will have an impact on life in the present.

The Financial Services Authority (OJK) is an institution established with the aim of supervising financial institutions and has a role in preventing and overcoming illegal fundraising that occurs in society. The Financial Services Authority supervises illegal fintech companies so they don't harm the community. This study aims to determine the role of the Financial Services Authority in law enforcement against illegal fintech companies using normative research methods. In accordance with its authority as stipulated in Law Number 21 of 2011, the OJK has prepared a number of regulations to regulate and supervise the development of types of business in the financial services sector that use technological advances or are called Financial Technology (fintech). Regulations related to Lending are contained in the Service Authority Regulations (POJK) Number 77/POJK.01/2016 concerning Information Technology- Based Money Lending Services (LPMUBTI).
