Implementasi Layanan untuk Pesan Singkat Menggunakan Perangkat Universal Software Radio Pheripheral (USRP) B210 pada Standar Komunikasi 3GPP Berbasis 4G

Kemajuan teknologi komunikasi berkembang pesat, 4G saat ini sebagai standar jaringan di banyak negara. Jaringan 4G memberikan kecepatan data yang unggul, latensi yang lebih rendah, dan kapasitas yang lebih besar dibandingkan jaringan sebelumnya. Saat ini, kita mempunyai kemampuan untuk berbagi informasi dan menjalin hubungan dengan individu tanpa perlu interaksi tatap muka. Namun demikian, di daerah terpencil dan daerah dengan jangkauan jaringan terbatas, masih terdapat tantangan dalam menggunakan telepon seluler yang tidak dipahami dengan baik oleh mereka yang tinggal di daerah yang jauh atau tidak terjangkau. Misalnya saja pemanfaatan fitur-fitur dasar telepon seluler seperti Short Message Service (SMS). OpenBTS adalah komponen teknologi BTS yang hemat biaya yang memanfaatkan perangkat lunak sumber terbuka, sehingga mudah diakses dan diterapkan oleh siapa saja. OpenBTS menawarkan layanan komunikasi seperti Short Message Service (SMS) atau pesan singkat. Selain itu, dapat menjadi alternatif layanan telepon jika terjadi gangguan sinyal. Dalam penelitian ini, kami memanfaatkan perangkat Universal Software Radio Peripheral (USRP) B210 untuk menyediakan layanan pesan singkat berdasarkan standar komunikasi 3GPP berbasis 4G. Perangkat keras yang digunakan adalah USRP B210.
