Dari Layar Kaca ke Layar Genggam Narasi Pekerja Media tentang PHK dan Perubahan Industri Televisi di Era Disrupsi

Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji secara mendalam dampak disrupsi digital terhadap restrukturisasi industri televisi di Indonesia, dengan sorotan khusus pada fenomena pemutusan hubungan kerja (PHK) massal yang terjadi di sejumlah stasiun televisi swasta. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif, penelitian ini menganalisis bagaimana kemajuan teknologi, seperti berkembangnya platform streaming, pergeseran pola konsumsi konten ke arah digital, serta fragmentasi audiens, telah mendorong perubahan signifikan dalam kebijakan organisasi dan struktur ketenagakerjaan di media konvensional. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan karyawan yang terdampak, pakar media, serta analis industri, untuk menangkap perspektif yang beragam mengenai proses dan dampak restrukturisasi tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media televisi tradisional menghadapi tantangan serius dalam mempertahankan relevansi di tengah gempuran inovasi digital, yang pada akhirnya menimbulkan tekanan untuk memangkas biaya operasional melalui PHK. Temuan ini juga menyoroti dimensi sosial dari restrukturisasi, di mana transformasi digital tidak hanya memengaruhi model bisnis, tetapi juga membawa konsekuensi langsung terhadap kesejahteraan pekerja media. Studi ini merekomendasikan perlunya pendekatan yang lebih inklusif dan berorientasi pada nilai manusia dalam proses adaptasi industri media di era digital.
