Abstract

Bullying is a serious issue that can disrupt individuals' psychological and social development, especially in educational settings. This study aims to examine the strengthening of empathy and tolerance values as a strategy to reduce bullying cases. A qualitative approach was employed through literature review and observation in school environments. The findings reveal that fostering empathy through experiential activities, such as role-playing and group discussions, can enhance students' awareness of others' feelings. Meanwhile, tolerance education, integrated into the curriculum and cross-cultural activities, helps build understanding and respect for differences. Systematic implementation of these strategies, supported by the active involvement of teachers, parents, and school administrators, has proven effective in creating a more inclusive environment and reducing bullying incidents. This study recommends the development of character education programs focusing on empathy and tolerance to foster a harmonious school culture.
