Penerapan Teknologi Informasi Dalam Meningkatkan Keterampilan Digital Santri Di Era Globalisasi

Abstract

The era of globalization has significantly transformed the world, including the field of education. Islamic boarding schools (pondok pesantren), as traditional Islamic educational institutions, are now faced with new challenges—namely, how to prepare a generation of students (santri) to possess not only religious knowledge but also mastery of information and digital technology. This article discusses the importance of implementing information technology to enhance santri's digital skills in the globalization era, strategies for implementation, the impact on the learning process, as well as the challenges and solutions faced by pesantren in carrying out digital transformation. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected from observation, literature review, and field practice.
