Penguatan Peran Pendidikan Islam Dalam Pembentukan Karakter Siswa Di Era Digital Di Pondok Pesantren Daarut Tazkia Bogor

This study aims to analyze the role of Islamic education in character building for students in the digital era and to formulate character strengthening strategies at the Daarut Tazkia Islamic Boarding School in Bogor. The development of digital technology has brought significant changes to various aspects of life, including education, and requires Islamic education to adapt to build strong student character. This qualitative case study involved students and teachers of the Daarut Tazkia Islamic Boarding School as subjects, with data collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation studies. Data were analyzed using thematic analysis. The results show that Islamic education plays a crucial role in character building through the integration of Islamic values into the curriculum, the "Noble Character" program, and extracurricular activities. However, the digital era brings challenges such as decreased social interaction and emotional management issues due to excessive use of social media. To address these challenges, the Daarut Tazkia Islamic Boarding School implemented strategies such as digital literacy programs, focus groups on current issues, social skills training, and collaboration with parents and the community. In conclusion, Islamic education is crucial in shaping students' character in the digital age, and comprehensive strategies, including increased parental involvement and the development of digital literacy, need to be continuously improved to create a generation of character.
