Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of Islamic education as a pillar of the social system and the challenges faced by Miftahul Khaer 2 Islamic Boarding School in the modern era. Islamic education serves to shape the morals, character, and social structure of Muslim communities. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach to explore the application of traditional Islamic boarding school values ​​and their adaptation to modern demands, including digital literacy and 21st-century competencies. The results indicate that Islamic boarding schools continue to play a vital role in strengthening the social system, but need to strengthen the integration of modern curricula, human resource capacity, and the use of technology to address contemporary challenges.
