Journal History
EPIC Journal (Journal of Electrical Power, Instrumentation and Control) is a transformation of the Journal of Science and Technology founded in 2016.
The focus of EPIC is related to research in the field of electrical engineering. The scope of EPIC includes control and instrumentation research activities, industrial automation, mechatronics and robotics, electronics and microelectrics, integrated systems, biomedical equipment engineering, electronic materials, biosensors, power systems, power transmission, smart grids, insulation and protection, power generation New and renewable energy, energy conversion, management and conservation, information and communication technology.
EPIC Journal is a journal published by Department of Electrical Engineering of Pamulang University in a 6-month period (2 times a year) with 12 articles in each number. Volume 1 No. 1 started in January 2018 and Volume 1 No. 2 in July 2018.
Accredited for the first time in 2018 with rating of SINTA 5. SK DIREKTUR JENDERAL PENGUATAN RISET DAN PENGEMBANGAN KEMENTERIAN RISET, TEKNOLOGI, DAN PENDIDIKAN TINGGI NOMOR 30/E/KPT/2019 TENTANG PERINGKAT AKREDITASI JURNAL ILMIAH PERIODE VI TAHUN 2019.
On March 11, 2020 a new editorial team was appointed by the dean of the faculty of engineering at Pamulang University. The Editor in Chief was Dr. Jan Setiawan, S.Si, M.Si. This editorial team started working on the Volume 3 No.1 edition for the period 2020-2024.
Starting with the Volume 3 No. 1 edition, updates were made to the cover, template, journal appearance and journal publishing time. Where the Volume No. 1 edition which was previously published in January becomes published in June and Volume No.2 which was previously published in July becomes December. This is done so that the EPIC Journal has better journal accreditation.
Based on a meeting attended by the Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering Pamulang University on February 10, 2021 together with the EPIC Journal editorial team, it was determined that starting Vol. 4 No.1 the EPIC Journal would impose an article publishing fee. February 2024, migration from OJS 2 become OJS 3.3.
