This study aims to analyze how regional innovation policies through the Smart Kampung program in Banyuwangi Regency contribute to sustainable regional development. Using a literature review method, this study examines various theories, concepts, and empirical findings regarding regional innovation, village administration digitalization, and the application of Smart Village as a sustainable development model. The study results indicate that Smart Kampung plays a significant role in improving the effectiveness of village governance, accelerating public services through digitalization, and strengthening the transparency and accountability of village administration. Furthermore, regional innovation has a significant impact on strengthening the local economy through the empowerment of digital MSMEs and the development of village-based tourism. From an environmental perspective, this innovation also supports the achievement of the SDGs through app-based waste management and digital mapping of environmental potential. However, the study also identified several challenges, such as limited digital infrastructure, low digital literacy among the community, and limited capacity of village officials. Therefore, a more comprehensive policy strategy is needed to ensure the sustainability of digital innovation at the village level.
