A solid team collaboration is a vital element in enhancing the effectiveness, productivity, and success of an organization whether in the workplace, community, or educational institutions, particularly at SMA Terpadu Baitul Hikmah. One of the key factors that supports the development of good teamwork is effective communication. Poor communication within a team often leads to misunderstandings, conflicts, and low productivity. Therefore, it is essential to implement appropriate communication strategies to strengthen relationships among team members and increase synergy in achieving common goals.This community service program aims to improve team members’ communication skills by applying various effective communication strategies, thereby creating a more harmonious, collaborative, and productive working environment. The implementation of the program was carried out through a series of activities, including material presentations, training sessions, and interactive simulations. The training materials cover several key aspects of effective communication, such as open and transparent communication, active listening skills, providing and receiving constructive feedback, and utilizing communication technology to support coordination within the team. Open and transparent communication is crucial in building trust among team members, allowing every individual to feel valued and to contribute to decision-making processes. Additionally, active listening skills help team members understand others’ perspectives, reduce misunderstandings, and enhance the effectiveness of discussions. The methods used in the community service (PKM) activities at SMA Terpadu Baitul Hikmah include theoretical presentations through lectures, interactive discussions that enable teachers, staff, and students to share experiences and challenges in team communication, case simulations that reflect various real-life workplace scenarios, and hands-on practice in applying the learned communication strategies. Furthermore, observation and interviews were conducted with participants to assess the impact of the training provided. The results of this community service initiative show a significant improvement in the communication skills of teachers, staff, and students. They became more capable of clearly expressing ideas and opinions, listening more attentively, providing constructive feedback, and managing team conflicts more effectively. Moreover, the implementation of effective communication strategies helped improve coordination in task execution, accelerate decision-making, and create a more positive work environment. Teachers, staff, and students also reported feeling more confident in their communication abilities and more capable of collaborating with other team members after participating in the training. In conclusion, effective communication plays a crucial role in building strong and harmonious team collaboration. Through training that focuses on communication strategies, team members can enhance their communication skills, which ultimately has a positive impact on both individual and organizational performance. It is expected that through this community service program, teachers, staff, and students will be able to apply the communication skills they have learned in various aspects of life whether in the workplace, organizations, or social communities. Thus, a culture of open, respectful, and productive communication can continue to be fostered to support team success in achieving shared goals.
