Abstract

Community Service Activities (PKM) aim to enhance students’ understanding and expand the knowledge of students at SMA Negeri 1 Maja regarding financial literacy and simple basic accounting bookkeeping, which can effectively assist in managing financial records in a wise and systematic manner. The ability to record income and expenses serves as a fundamental foundation for developing sound financial management skills. The method used in this community service activity involved training and socialization through counseling sessions conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Maja, Lebak – Banten. Through this activity, most of the participating students showed great enthusiasm in the question-and-answer sessions, which helped increase their knowledge and understanding of financial literacy through basic accounting. The results of the PKM activities indicate that all participating students gained a better understanding of the importance of financial literacy through basic accounting in a prudent and responsible manner. In addition, the activity not only contributed to academic achievement but also enhanced students’ critical thinking skills, financial discipline, and readiness to face future economic challenges.
