Abstract

This community service program (PKM) aims to improve financial literacy and transparency in simple financial management among children at Al Kamilah Orphanage, Depok. The program was conducted through practical training focusing on daily cash recording, basic money management, and simple audit (mini audit) practices. The methods used included lectures, simulations, discussions, role play, and hands-on practice using worksheets and simple Excel templates. The participants were children at the junior and senior high school levels and orphanage administrators. The results show that most participants were able to record cash inflows and outflows consistently, distinguish between needs and wants, and understand the importance of honesty and transparency in financial management. In addition, orphanage administrators gained a simple financial recording format to support accountability to donors. This program contributes to strengthening financial literacy skills and fostering transparent financial behavior from an early age.
