Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

Author Guidelines

  1. Articles that submitted to the Jurnal Statistika dan Matematika (Statmat) Universitas Pamulang is an original scientific work. It has never been published in other media and does not contain elements of plagiarism. Link Template.

  2. The potential for plagiarism will assess by the editor based on the percentage of similarity through Turnitin. Articles could, in the form of research results or application theories that are following a predetermined focus and scope.

  3. The manuscript writes in Indonesian or English and typed by using a size of 1.5 spaces, with justifying format. The total number of pages of the document is a minimum of 8 pages and does not exceed 25 pages, including a bibliography with a margin of size three and A4 paper size.

  4. The header of the article is Journal Name ( on the top right), volume and number where the article published, and year of publication (on the top left) with font size 12pt. The first left top page of the header, containing the ISSN number, the name of the journal, month and year of publication as well as the page number of the article with a font size of 7pt left flat. Page numbering at the bottom in the middle of the page.

  5. Systematics of writing includes Title, author's full name, author's institution along with complete address, email, Abstract, Keywords, 1. Introduction, 2. Methodology, 3. Discussion, 4. Conclusions and 5. Bibliography.

  6. The title expected to straightforward and informative by the research conducted.

  7. The title using a 12pt Times New Romans font with capital letters in bold type and placed in the middle of the page, and no more than 18 words.

  8. In articles, the author's name must complete. All authors must approve the order of the author's name (if there are more than two authors). Generally based on contributions, and all authors are responsible for the content of the article.

  9. The article author affiliation is written entirely, including an email address of the main contributor (marked with a star if the author is more than one person). If all the authors are from different affiliates, the name and full address of each author's affiliation displayed.

  10. The abstracts are in English (italic) and Bahasa with Roman font size 12pt one space with the maximum number of words 200-300 words in the essay format.

  11. Keywords are words that specifically refer to the subject under study (not words that already exist in the title).

  12. INTRODUCTION has the background of the problem; hypothesis (if any); research purposes; generally, the text is not too long, only 3-4 paragraphs or two pages.

  13. A literature review is not written separately from the introduction; it means that the literature review included.

  14. References must the main note, relevant, and current; not too broad means that the literature review is not too extensive, and does not quote from other people's quotes.

  15. METHODOLOGY in the article has the subject and object of the study described in detail; if the method refers to standard rules, then write defaults and do not apply to practicum procedures. The authors must not use the word command.

  16. DISCUSSION contains systematic presentation, only data/information related to the research aims. Simplifying tables and using open tables (please follow the example shown in the template). Image maps are more focused on the object of research. The image size is not too large and complicated (pursued in JPG format and sending supplement/additional files separately); tables and figures numbered. Images numbered and labeled below, while tables numbered and labeled above. (Table and picture descriptions centered). Writing mathematical equations found on the manuscript page should use the equation editor.

  17. CONCLUSION is concise and advised to mention recommendations or suggestions included in the paragraph and not separately.

  18. REFERENCES only has the literature that referred to in the description and stated at the end of the manuscript.

  19. Bibliography writing is use reference applications such as references and bibliography in Microsoft Word with APA format or using Mendeley references.

  20. The bibliography writing format and reference system use the Harvard Writing style. Citation sources stated in scientific papers must include in the Bibliography, and vice versa — bibliography referenced reference literature cited in scientific work. Lists write in a single space, sequentially in alphabetical order without numbers. If the research writes by one person, the author's name written is the first last name, followed by the first name and middle name, followed by the year.
