Analisis Hubungan Curah Hujan dengan OLR Terkait Variasi MJO di Provinsi Kalimantan Utara

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara curah hujan bulanan dan Outgoing Longwave Radiation (OLR) terkait variasi Madden-Julian Oscillation (MJO) di Provinsi Kalimantan Utara menggunakan metode Empirical Orthogonal Function (EOF). Data yang digunakan meliputi curah hujan dan OLR selama periode 1991 hingga 2020. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa PC1 menjelaskan 80,36% dari total variasi data, dengan pola negatif yang signifikan terhadap curah hujan, mengindikasikan bahwa nilai OLR yang tinggi berkorelasi dengan penurunan curah hujan. PC2 hingga PC7 menunjukkan kontribusi yang lebih kecil, masing-masing menjelaskan variansi yang lebih rendah, dan berhubungan dengan pola lokal dan temporal. Selain itu, analisis fase MJO menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan curah hujan tertinggi terjadi pada fase 3 dan 4, berbeda dari teori umum yang menyatakan bahwa fase 4 dan 5 memiliki kontribusi terbesar terhadap curah hujan di wilayah tropis. Temuan ini memberikan wawasan penting tentang pengaruh dinamika atmosfer global terhadap distribusi curah hujan di Kalimantan Utara.
