Peer Review Process

JCIA implements the following peer-review policy:

  • Manuscripts submitted by authors will first undergo an editorial review, focusing on the manuscript’s relevance to the journal’s scope and compliance with the journal template. During this stage, the editor may communicate with the author to improve the manuscript so that it is suitable for submission to reviewers, or the manuscript may be returned or declined.
  • Manuscripts that pass the initial editorial screening will be sent to reviewers for content evaluation.
  • The review process considers novelty, objectivity, methodology, scientific impact, conclusions, and references.
  • Reviewers will provide recommendations for revision and/or acceptance or rejection of the article.
  • The editor will make a decision by taking into account the reviewers’ recommendations and determining whether the manuscript meets the requirements of JCIA
  • The editor’s decision is final.
