I-MARKED (International Journal of Marketing Studies and Environments of Digital Business) is a fully open-access, peer-reviewed scientific journal. In accordance with global open-access standards and Indonesian national regulations concerning scientific transparency, all articles published in I-MARKED are made immediately and permanently available worldwide free of charge, with no subscription fees, paywalls, or embargo periods.

I-MARKED adheres strictly to the fundamental definitions and principles of open access established in:

  • Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI)
  • Berlin Declaration on Open Access to Knowledge in the Sciences and Humanities
  • Bethesda Statement on Open Access Publishing

Under these declarations, users are granted free, irrevocable, worldwide, and continuous access to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, crawl for indexing, or link to the full texts of all articles without financial, legal, or technical barriers other than those inseparable from gaining access to the internet itself.

To ensure full alignment with the higher education, scientific publishing, and intellectual property legal frameworks of the Republic of Indonesia, I-MARKED explicitly complies with:

  • Law No. 11 of 2019 on the National Science and Technology System (Undang-Undang Sistem Nasional Ilmu Pengetahuan dan Teknologi / UU Sisnas Iptek): In accordance with Articles 40 and 41, all scientific outputs, empirical data, and scholarly works produced within the academic ecosystem are managed in open repositories to ensure optimal public dissemination, research utilization, and intellectual enrichment.
  • Law No. 28 of 2014 on Copyright (Undang-Undang Hak Cipta): Upholds the legal protection of moral and economic rights of the authors, ensuring that open dissemination does not compromise authorial ownership and integrity.
  • Regulation of the Minister of Research, Technology, and Higher Education No. 9 of 2018 on Scientific Journal Accreditation (Akreditasi Jurnal Ilmiah / ARJUNA & SINTA Standards): Adheres to the mandatory criteria of open-access management, transparent editorial governance, peer-review objectivity, and unrestricted access to full-text articles for public and academic scrutiny.
  • National Research Data Interoperability Guidelines: Mandates metadata synchronization and automated harvesting with Indonesian national scientific indexes, including GARUDA (Garba Rujukan Digital) and RAMA Repository (National Open Access Repository Network).

All articles published in I-MARKED are distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).

  • Share: Users are permitted to copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format.
  • Adapt: Users are permitted to remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, including commercial applications.
  • Attribution: Users must give appropriate credit to the original author(s) and I-MARKED as the initial publication venue, provide a direct link to the license, and explicitly state if any changes were made to the original work.
  1. Author Rights, Copyright, and Self-Archiving Policy
  • Unrestricted Copyright Retention: Authors retain unrestricted copyright and all proprietary publishing rights without limitation.
  • First Publication Rights: Authors grant I-MARKED and Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (LPPM) Universitas Pamulang the right of first publication under the CC BY 4.0 license.
  • Self-Archiving Permissions: Authors are permitted and encouraged to deposit all versions of their manuscript (Submitted Version/Preprint, Author Accepted Manuscript/AAM, and Published Version of Record/VoR) in institutional digital repositories (e.g., Universitas Pamulang Repository), national platforms (GARUDA/RAMA), and international scholarly networks (e.g., ResearchGate, SSRN), provided that standard bibliographic attribution and persistent Crossref DOIs are cited.

To guarantee permanent accessibility and mitigate digital link rot, I-MARKED utilizes:

  • Public Knowledge Project Preservation Network (PKP PN) for automated decentralized archiving.
