EDUCATION ON DIET AND BALANCED NUTRITION FOR ADOLESCENTS IN IBNU ABBAS BOARDING SCHOOL SERANG CITY, BANTEN

Abstrak

Problems with diet and balanced nutrition in adolescents are an issue that is often faced in many countries, including Indonesia. An unbalanced diet can cause both short-term and long-term health problems. The purpose of this counselling activity on balanced diet and nutrition is as a form of concern for academics through the Tridharma of Higher Education to a problem that exists in the city of Serang, and to increase awareness of understanding to maintain a balanced diet and nutrition to maintain good physical, psychological, and social growth for the nation's next generation. The counselling on balanced diet and nutrition was held at Ibnu Abbas Islamic Boarding School, Serang City, Banten, in May 2024. The methods used were lectures and interactive discussions with the use of interactive media. As a result of this activity, the Ibnu Abbas boarding school positively received the counselling activities as a form of increasing knowledge and services to students. The importance of maintaining a balanced diet and nutrition can ultimately improve the quality of students in terms of the output of the Ibn Abbas boarding school as an educational institution that produces students as superior tahfidz. And of course balanced nutrition in the context of Islam is obtained from food that cannot be separated from the words halal and thayyib.
